Park Place Hotel engaged Perspective to design complete replacements of their 1960s conference center, pool, and fitness center additions to their historic 10-story downtown tower hotel. The new structures are designed to be sympathetic additions to both the hotel and the surrounding downtown, and address longstanding inefficiencies of the existing facility.

The conference center adds a variety of meeting and break-out spaces including a 500-seat capacity main hall with operable walls for flexible configuration, along with ample windows for daylighting and visual connections with downtown Traverse City. The pool addition is designed with business travelers in mind with a pool sized for swimming laps. The main pool is directly connected to a hot tub and a wading zone, and all are surrounded by seating on the pool deck with access to the adjacent courtyard.
